Frequently asked questions
How instant downloads arrive, how to type straight into the printable worksheets, and what you get for free.
Instant downloads
- How do I get my files after I pay?
- The moment your payment clears you land on a download page with every file from your order listed, ready to tap. There is no code to enter, no account to make and nothing to wait for.
- We also email the same links to the address you used at checkout, so you can come back to them later on any device.
- What if I closed the page before downloading?
- Check your email — the same download links are in the order email. If it hasn't arrived within a few minutes, look in spam, then email support@rusticbudgetliving.com and we'll send it straight back to you.
- What am I actually buying?
- Printable PDF files, not physical post. Every paid item shows a 'Peek inside' with real sample pages and a page count before you buy, so you know exactly what arrives.
- Can I print a file more than once?
- Yes. Print as many copies as you like for yourself or your household, for as long as you own the file. Please don't resell it, share the file itself or teach from it commercially.
- Do the files expire?
- No. Once a file is on your device it is yours. Save it somewhere you'll find it again — a cloud folder is safer than your downloads folder.
- Can I get a refund?
- Digital files can't be returned once downloaded, but if a file is broken, won't open or isn't what the page described, tell us and we'll fix it or refund you.
Typing into the printable worksheets
- Can I fill these in on screen instead of printing?
- Yes. Every line, box and tick box in our worksheets is a live field. Open the PDF, tap a box and type — the file behaves like a form, not a picture.
- How do I type into it on a computer?
- Open the file in any free PDF reader — Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview on a Mac, or Edge and Chrome on Windows all work. Click into a box, type, then choose Save As and keep your own copy under a new name so the blank original stays blank.
- How do I type into it on a phone or tablet?
- On iPhone or iPad, save the file to the Files app, open it, tap a field and type, then tap Done. On Android, open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) rather than the basic preview, which sometimes shows the fields but won't keep what you type.
- If your typing disappears when you close the file, it means the app you used can't save form fields. Adobe Acrobat Reader can, on every device.
- Can I do a bit of both?
- That's how most people use them. Type the parts you want to keep neat — dates, amounts, names — then print the page and finish it with a pen.
- How should I print them?
- Single-sided on plain US Letter paper, at 100% scale with 'fit to page' switched off, so nothing shrinks. Reprint any page as often as you need.
- Is the monthly planner dated?
- No, and that's deliberate. The calendar cells, goals, budget lines and habit boxes are all empty and typeable, so you write in your own month and reuse the same planner year after year.
The free Starter Kit
- What's in the free kit?
- Five printable worksheets: a payday planner, a bill checklist, a find-your-direction worksheet, a business idea worksheet and a weekly life reset checklist. They're typeable too.
- What does it cost, and do I need an account?
- Nothing, and no. Give a name and an email address and the kit is yours — no card, no login, no trial.
- What happens to my email address?
- It goes on the Compass list so you get one short note a month with a free resource. Nothing else, ever, and one tap unsubscribes you.
- Is the free kit the same as the paid workbooks?
- The free sheets are single pages that get you started. The paid workbooks and toolkits are full sets — twelve pages and up — that walk a whole subject through, with trackers you keep coming back to.
Monthly updates and new sets
- Do I hear about new worksheet sets?
- Yes — the monthly note is where new sets show up first, usually before they go on sale, and often free to read that month.
- How often will you email me?
- Once a month, plus the email for anything you buy. That's it.
- Something's broken — who do I tell?
- Email support@rusticbudgetliving.com. Broken links and typos get fixed the same week.
